Agian another art piece for Andrew and again he gave me the idea. I brought PeeWee in that day for the kids to meet (and let's just say they loved him) and they all wanted drawings of him. I drew many but his ones my favorite since I felt it was my most creative one yet. My little ferret is half dragon half ferret but I didn't bother drawing him legs since I felt he looked better as a more serpe

I did this the other day at work and was surprisingly hard to do since Friday is Khushi's last day with us. I feel really good about this drawing because for one I actually took the time to ink it out!!! The other is I feel really good about how I drew Paradise. I feel that's the most realistic drawing I have done of her (God knows I've done a heck of a lot). I feel it's fairly obvious that she's a child and that I showed her happiness and purity with her small smile and slightly longer lips. I felt I drew her nose perfectly even if she did keep flaring it by accident. I don't like how Khushi turned out though because I didn't feel that she looked ethnic enough and I really appreciate ethnicity and how each person looks different because of it. It might have to do with the angle or maybe even the fact that

I very rarely ever do self portraits of just just myself which is why this one is so weird. I will not lie by the end I couldn't get the eye on the left side straight so I just drew it on regardless (that's why the pic looks weird). I do feel my eyes were drawn too big so I wasn't able to make it look like myself as much as I could have so I don't know what to do about it. I feel i probbaly made myself a lot better looking then I actually am and it's hard for me to

This picture I felt really was just my practicing mainly different facial features to show differences in people like I sometimes don't do that well. Although I failed on showing Paradise's sweet innocence she has written all over her I felt she looked a little old though I got her lips right and nose; meaning i probably can blame her eyes for it. khushi on the other hand i'd say is probably the smile i messed up on so she looks more like a monkey or ape instead of the feminen chin she has.

If it wasn't already obvious by my website I really like Pink Floyd. I thought the Wall was a great movie that was artistically amazing and I'm still flabbergasted by the respect I've garnered for Roger Waters even with my love for David Gilmour. This scene in the movie was really visceral and it was just a scene that really made you think of how lonely we are and different. It's like we're rag dolls and that's the way I feel sometimes which is why I copied it. I thought it was a lotta fun swooping the lines to create the eyes and depth of darkness

I know Ms. Heideman hates the fact that I never take good scans of my drawings but in all honesty most of my drawings come from work. Since I work at the afterschool program with little kids I never get to keep any of my art, Andrew, Khushi and Paradise are always fighting for it =). Anyway I drew this for Andrew since it is monster week at the program and is just a little piece from my imagnation. It originally was suppose to be a bear but now it has turned into a cougar like creature and wings. I don't like the legs which Andrew said had to be eagle legs so I didn't include them in the picture but the rest is pretty good.

I recently borrowed an awesome art book from the library showing the human anatomy. This and surrealism are my favorite things to actually draw or sketch out in my free time. This sketch is out of proportion in the arm lengths along with the size of the head. I really didn't care though because I had a lot of fun drawing the complex muscles of the larynx and tried to have half the body showing the complex muscles of the chest and neck and then the other side showing how the bones are connected at joints and such. I originally wanted to have the fingers of the hand be only veins but I didn't like the way they kept turning out.

This is a finished piece because I really don't want to take the chance of ruining it, I feel its pretty good as is. I notice most of my pictures (well sketches that I do) are surreal. I got this idea from Brett when I was examining his hand and I commented on our matching calluses. He says, "no that's a wart. I like to imagine that since it's been there so long the roots of the wart (cuz you know warts have roots) are intertwined around my bones". I thought that was actually a really cool idea and imagined trees growing from it. I'm not  a fan of how I drew Brett I'll admit but none the less I really like this piece even if i do HATE drawing trees >:P too time consuming who expects me to draw all ten thous

I'm in love with this picture I did =). I've actually been working on this picture for quite some time and just now got around to finishing it. It's definitely surreal and that is my little niece midori.  No the venus fly trap is not suppose to eat her face. I'm afraid though that the egg in the venus fly trap is not well done. It's a completed sketch but I hope to paint this on a canvas acrylic.

I suppose some people might think this is not a sketch at all but in my opinion it is so i guess that works. Its definitely completed and I got this idea from my band, The Paper Moths I just thought it be a cool album cover or something for us. I did origami and then colored it in and set it up as if I'd framed the moth.
